POLISHING

Optical Components
Optical components are used to bend, split, diffuse, reflect or otherwise alter or refocus light wavelengths. This may include changing the spectrum of the light, transforming a light pattern into an electric one, or simply altering the direction or path. Typical components within this family include lenses, doublets, filters, beamsplitters, mirrors, windows, diffusers, plates, prisms.
With advanced facilities and expertise in precision manufacturing, DOON polishes and coats a variety of materials for making windows, lenses, achromats and prisms.
Flat optics: SpeedFam double-sided and single-sided polishers can achieve wavefront errors of less than 1/10 th wave with parallelism down to a few arcseconds. Automation ensures consistency and reliability while skilled craftsmen provide customization.
Spherical optics: We utilize advanced techniques for lens shaping, grinding, and polishing to achieve desired surface quality, accurate curvatures, and tight tolerances. Automated Sidai polishers, edgers and centration machines are used to process small quantities or to manufacture volume parts while  Industry standard Testing & Measurement systems are used for  Quality Assurance and Testing.
Materials types: Glasses of all types (including BK7, Fused Silica, SF11, LaSFN9, BaK1, F2 and others from Schott, OHara and CDGM).
